PROGRAM

Shows

In this free 20-minute show, we'll launch a variety of rockets and learn together about blasting off into space. Come down to the amphitheatre to discover how rockets work, and find out about the forces involved in getting them into space for us to explore beyond Earth, including our Moon!

Tycho, our favourite cheeky dog with a knack for getting into trouble, is finally blasting off to discover the red planet, Mars!

Join Tycho on an adventure to learn all about the major features of Mars, including the ancient volcano Olympus Mons and the canyons of the Valles Marineris.

Tycho is in search of water to fly his steam-powered space kennel back home. But how will he find water on Mars, when it looks so cold, dusty and dry?

Who said early learners can’t do rocket science?! This space will be full of things to try and test, including balloon rockets and stomp rockets. Can you construct a rocket using a modular couch, or build one out of blocks? Explore, test, and learn through play.

Help us build a Lunar Station over the course of a day! We need designers and engineers to sketch designs, build with carboard and decorate our mars base. What are the conditions like on the Moon? What do you think we’ll need when we’re there? This intergenerational learning space invites adults and children to play together.

Get moon-ving and shaking as we get ready for a journey to the moon. No better way to learn how astronauts get dressed for a spacewalk than through song and dance!
