In this workshop you will learn and practice traditional Roman placement techniques that require no grouting, while gaining a deeper understanding of marble placement and composition.

WORKSHOP FACILITATOR

Cetta Pilati is a Melbourne-based sculptor working with marble and steel, uniting these materials through traditional, labour-intensive processes. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture from RMIT University (1992). Drawing on the Roman mosaic method alongside contemporary metalwork, her practice is grounded in hand craftsmanship, material integrity and a deep respect for enduring techniques.
