Road to Zero
Free entry. Does not include Museum entry
Road to Zero is a world first road safety education experience showcasing the latest in multi-sensory interactive technologies. Located on the Lower Ground floor, the exhibition is open to the general public. An education visit to Road to Zero is free of charge and is designed for secondary school groups (years 9, 10 and VCAL). It comprises two experiences: an immersive and exploratory exhibition and curriculum-linked programs in the purpose-built Learning Studio. The museum is a safe fun and active place to be but there are places children need to be looked after such as escalators and balconies.

The Melbourne Museum Shop is located in the main foyer. We have a wonderful, diverse range of goods with a strong emphasis on local and Australian products that reflects the themes of the museum.
We are open from 10.00am to 5.00pm every day of the year except Good Friday and Christmas Day.

The Museum Market Café is just the place to relax, chat, taste, and discover a world of fresh ingredients, all chopped, sliced and diced on site by our talented chefs. It’s a stunning space, designed for you to unwind while exploring Melbourne Museum with family and friends.
Our food options boast a great variety of homemade pastries, bakery items, gourmet sandwiches and freshly made salads as well as a selection of sushi and healthy snack items.
Museum Market Pop-Up Restaurant

Join us at the Museum Market Pop-Up Restaurant located on the southern side of the Museum Market Café. Offering a new table service dining experience.
Enjoy a glass of wine, coffee and lunch overlooking the stunning Royal Exhibition Building.
Museum Station Café
Children's Gallery, 10am–4.30pm
The Museum Station Café caters for both parents and kids alike in the wondrous Children’s Gallery.
Whether you’re looking to boost your energy or needing some time out, the Museum Station Café has you covered. Aside from delicious barista made coffees, you can select from a range of mini sandwiches and rolls, sushi, organic fruit juices, bite-sized quiches, wholemeal pizzas and pita pockets.
The team from Restaurant Associates have also incorporated build-your-own 'Choo Choo Cookies' as well as a new frozen yoghurt machine, allowing you to create your own toppings!
