- Scissors
- Decorating: crayons, pencils, markers
- Glue (optional)
- Coloured card (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Print out the template provided then colour in the objects using the resources you have available.
Step 2: Cut each of the cards out then shuffle the pile to mix the deck thoroughly. Before this step you may wish to glue you colored templates onto a piece of card for added strength.
Step 3: Spread the deck across your table or floor ready for the first player to begin.
Step 4: Taking it in turns, each player reveals two cards trying to create a match. If a player first reveals an item of rubbish, they must then turn over the corresponding recycle bin (yellow for plastic and paper, green for garden and food; purple for glass; and red for everything else). If they select a bin first, the next reveal must be a matching item of rubbish.
Step 5: If a player matches correctly, they another turn. If they don’t, play passes to their opponent. The game continues until all the cards have been matched, at which point the player with the most pairs wins the game.
