Museum of the Moon is an astounding seven metre diameter spherical sculpture featuring large scale NASA imagery of the lunar surface.

At a scale of 1:500,000, each centimetre of the sculpture represents five kilometres of the moon's surface. This installation fuses lunar imagery, moonlight and music created by BAFTA and Ivor Novello Award winning composer, Dan Jones. Museum of the Moon is created by UK artist Luke Jerram.

Almost 50 years ago on Christmas Eve, 1968 William Anders a US astronaut on Apollo 8 took at photo known as ‘Earthrise’ as they orbited the moon. This beautiful picture changed the way we think about Earth – our home planet.
