With nearly 1000 applications from across Victoria , 81 students were selected across 9 design studies by a panel of expert educators. Exploring technology, materiality, sustainability, and community practice, these works demonstrate the research and experimentation involved in the development of responsive design.
Top Designs is presented as part of the VCE Season of Excellence, a five-month annual festival showcasing outstanding works across art, design, technology, multimedia, film, dance, theatre, drama, music, literature and research – all created by exceptional VCE students.

The 2026 VCE Season of Excellence Top Designs Education Forum bookings are now open. These one-hour education sessions complement school visits to the Top Designs exhibition and feature an exciting lineup of industry experts, exhibition alumni and VCAA representatives covering design thinking, study outcomes and creative opportunities in Media, Product Design and Technologies, Systems Engineering, Visual Communication and VCE VET design studies.
