Pacific Gallery Redevelopment

Bring Our People With Us: A Safe Place to Stand

Lead curator Sione Napi Francis will bring life to stories of family connections and belonging, and touch on environmental issues such as global warming. By guiding us through a journey of positive change we will have a safe place for all communities and generations to come to stand.

In redeveloping Te Pasifika we will investigate best practice models for First Nations community consultation and gallery redevelopment in our region.

This won’t just be a gallery, it will be an inclusive space for all generations, where customary knowledge holders of the Pacific and wider communities are welcomed and connections are deepened.
