Making Futures: A Slam Event

Stories about our environment and our lives based on a fresh look at Museum objects

A group of 30 international thinkers from Europe, North America, Asia and Australia spent the day hosted by museum staff, visiting the collections to explore stories of importance for our future.

The stories evolved during the day, and were presented in a Slam in the evening.

The stories provide new perspectives on old objects - of interest to anyone who wonders  about our environment and our future.

Speakers

The Slam was presented by social science, humanities scholars, creative writers, science communicators and visual artists involved in the Anthropocene Campus with Museum staff. It was supported by Understanding Australia in the Age of Humans ARC project and Deakin University.
