Stretch your mind and muscles at Sportsworks!

This curriculum-aligned excursion allows students to on explore health and physical sciences through interactive hands-on exhibits focused on the human body and movement.

Students will experience

  • Hands-on challenges such as testing reaction time, balance, and strength through engaging measuring activities.
  • Interactive displays that explore how the body moves and functions during physical activity. This includes learning about the musculoskeletal system.
  • Testing physical skills through interactive challenges such as running against athlete Cathy Freeman, wheelchair racing, rock climbing, and balance exercises.
  • Discovering the science behind sports equipment, learning about materials and technologies that enhance athletic performance.
  • Exploring the exhibition at their own pace, in small groups with their supervisors.

Other key information

  • School groups can access the Sportsworks exhibition if they have booked a time slot.
  • Students need to stay in small groups with their supervisors while in our exhibitions.
