Colour is a limited-time interactive experience where students dive into the science and magic behind colour, light, vision, and illusions. 

Students will Experience

  • Four exciting themes: Coloured Light, Controlling Colour, Seeing Colour, and Making Sense of Colour
  • Playful experiments that uncover the secrets of how we see and understand colour in our world. 

Students will learn 

  • About properties of light including absorption, reflection, refraction, and diffraction 
  • About Polarisation of light 
  • How materials can be Luminescent- including incandescence and fluorescence 
  • That light can be dispersed and represented on a spectrum  
  • How colour vision works in animals and humans 
  • About the cultural and symbolic significance of colours 
  • How humans perceive colour including synaesthesia and colour Illusions
