When you cast your vote for Victoria’s state fossil emblem, Museums Victoria collects your personal information, that is your name, email address and postcode, in order to:
- verify that your entry meets the eligibility requirements
- administer the State fossil emblem public voting campaign and back-of-hour tour prize draw
- contact you if you are the winner of the back-of-house tour prize draw (if you have requested this option)
- notify you of the outcome of the State fossil emblem public voting campaign (if you have requested this option)
- add you to the Museums Victoria mailing list (if you have requested this option), from which you can unsubscribe at any time
- conduct surveys, market research and analysis.
If you do not provide this information, we may not be able to include your vote. You are entitled to gain access to the personal information which Museums Victoria has collected about you by contacting Museums Victoria on [email protected].
Museums Victoria will store your personal information securely and will not share this information with any other party, except as required or authorised by law.
