Creative Block

Animation Adobe Animate

My film Creative Block depicts the struggle of being unable to create new ideas. Its minimal, black-and-white style emphasises a lack of inspiration, while the motif of blank paper reflects the character's inability to generate ideas. The work draws from a period of frustration I experienced in my own art, aiming to resonate with anyone who has faced similar challenges.

Animation
Procreate, ToonSquid

It’s a Colourfulmess! follows the journey of an artist who is discontent with their recent artwork. Suddenly, a blast of light blinds him, and he falls through the worlds he has created. As he tumbles, his characters come to life, interacting with his surroundings. With a burst of new inspiration, the artist returns to his seat, breaking the fourth wall. The screen fades to black, revealing the brand name, Colourfulmess.

Life Below Water is based on the 14th UN Sustainable Development Goal which targets the issues of pollution and conservation in our seas and oceans. It details crucial information about why pollution is a cause of wildlife death, and where the pollution comes from. The animation teaches an audience of students aged 8–14 years about the negative impacts of pollution on wildlife, and what humanity is doing now to stop further damage.
