In VCE Media students examine how and why the media constructs and reflects reality, and how audiences engage with, consume, create and produce media products. They develop the skills and knowledge to research media products and design their production in a variety of forms, including animation, video, film and television production, print layout, audio, photography, digital production and convergent or hybridised media.
These works were produced for the VCE Media School-assessed Task. Before creating a final production design, students researched the characteristics, construction of narrative, style and genre of a range of media forms. In Unit 4, students developed their production designs through production and post-production stages. These complex processes required careful consideration of how the production might be crafted to engage a specified target audience. The selected productions on display demonstrate a high level of conceptualisation and technical skill.
