Tiny Tours: Early Years Series

Kinder / Early Years

Learn through exploration, discovery and storytelling. 

Take your early learners on a guided museum adventure through select Science & Life gallery spaces. This interactive tour has been designed to engage kindergarten students through play, storytelling and exploration.

Students will experience

  • Close-up encounters with fossils, shells, and ancient bones—including a real Triceratops specimen. 
  • Hands-on exploration with interactive learning objects and sensory materials. 
  • Clues and role-play activities that bring prehistoric animals and ecosystems to life. 
  • Interactive learning tailored to early childhood development. 

Students will learn

  • That even the smallest creatures can sustain the largest animals on Earth. 
  • How fossils form and what they reveal about life in the past. 
  • About prehistoric animals such as ancient whales, ammonites, and dinosaurs. 
  • That living things have special body parts and adaptations that help them survive. 
  • How evidence from the past connects to the living world today. 

Students will need

  • To be supported by early childhood educators and supervisors at a ratio of at least 1:3
