Competition entry Terms and Conditions and Privacy Statement

1. The competition opens on 07 February 2025 at 4:00PM AEST.
2. The competition ends on 11 February 2025 at 4:00PM AEST.
3. The competition is open to anyone who has direct messaged or commented on Melbourne Museum’s post with a story about their Valentine’s Day.
4. Entry is not open to Museums Victoria employees, contractors or volunteers, or people in their immediate families.
5. Multiple entries per participant will not be accepted.
6. To be eligible to win a prize, each participant must either direct message or comment on Melbourne Museum’s post with a story about their Valentine’s Day.
7. There will be 1 prize draw. The prize consists of 2 Year passes to Nocturnal: Museum after Dark for the 2025 season (to the value of $704.00). The prize is not transferable, nor can it be redeemed for cash.
8. There will be 1 prize winner.
9. The competition draw will be conducted on 11 February 2025 at 4:30PM and the winner notified thereafter.
10. The prize winner will be drawn randomly from the valid entries.
11. The prize winner will be notified via direct message of their prize through the social media handle linked to their competition entry.
12. The prize winner’s name will be published on the Museums Victoria website on 12 February 2025.
13. If Museums Victoria, after using all reasonable efforts, cannot contact the winner within 7 days of the prize draw, then they will be substituted via a second draw from the remaining valid entries.
14. Each participant must provide their first name and social media handle. This information will only be used to conduct the prize draw and notify and publish the winner. Museums Victoria will retain records relating to the competition for a period of three (3) years after the finalisation of the competition.
15. Museums Victoria is not liable for any late, lost, delayed or misdirected entries.
16. Museums Victoria reserves the right to verify the identity of a participant to confirm they are the winner.
17. Museums Victoria reserves the right to disqualify entries at its sole, reasonable discretion.
18. Decisions of Museums Victoria regarding the winning of prizes are final and binding.
19. In the event that the prize becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond Museums Victoria’s reasonable control, Museums Victoria reserves the right to provide a similar product to the same or greater value as the original prize.
20. Museums Victoria will not disclose any personal information provided by participants to any third party, except as provided for under these terms and conditions, or as otherwise required or permitted by law.
