Torchlight, Triceratops and tasty treats: Melbourne Museum launches exclusive after-hours sleepover series for adults and families
The Museum Sleepover is a series of extraordinary after-hours experiences for all ages. Featuring exclusive tours, behind-the-scenes access, immersive exhibitions and a luxurious night’s sleep on Ecosa mattresses, these sleepovers are a magical way to connect to the museum in a whole new light.
The Museum Sleepover is suitable for all ages, with two premium sleepover types to choose from – Family and Adults.
Adults can relive the magic of childhood sleepovers with an elevated twist. Guests will enjoy a welcome drink, an exclusive torchlight tour of Triceratops: Fate of the Dinosaurs and private access to the galaxy-first Lego® Star Wars™: The Exhibition. The thrilling new F1 IMAX film from the director of Top Gun: Maverick will be on the giant screen, before visitors unwind with gin, jaffles and board games while snuggling up under the dinosaurs. Upon waking, guests will be treated to a hot breakfast and a meet-and-greet with Trio, the baby Triceratops.
Family sleepover goers will experience Melbourne Museum after dark in a similar fashion. They’ll explore the galaxy with exclusive evening access to Lego® Star Wars™: The Exhibition, enjoy Blue Whales 3D at IMAX, and venture into Dynamic Earth and Dinosaur Walk by torchlight. Ending the night, they’ll enjoy a bedtime story and rise to a hot breakfast and a close-up encounter with Trio, the baby Triceratops.
