For my portrait series, I explore society’s growing reliance on technology, revealing the negative impact it has on human connection. Using moody, experimental imagery, I highlight the irony that devices designed to bring us together often isolate us. The eleven images were placed around the school with QR codes beneath them. Scanning the codes opened a map leading to the remaining images, tricking students into using their devices, highlighting our dependency on them.

My intention was to create a series that invites viewers to reconnect with their past, evoking memories of their own youthful days on the field. The series celebrates the timeless bond between generations and the enduring spirit of Australian football. Echo is more than a collection of photographs, it is a bridge to the past, invoking a profound sense of nostalgia and connection. Each image is a chapter in a story that spans generations, celebrating the bonds forged through football.
