Applying for the Emerging Prize

The Emerging Prize is open to jewellers and creative practitioners who have five or less years of experience in their field, inclusive of any tertiary education, apprenticeships or other study.

Applications must include a creative response to the State of Victoria Gold Jewellery Collection and articulate prior experience.

Applications must include the following:

• A visual representation of the proposed creation (sketch, or image or plan) which communicates the concept design clearly.

• A written statement of no more than 400 words describing the concept, techniques and materials used, and how the work responds to the State of Victoria Gold Jewellery Collection.

• A written statement of no more than 400 words describing the fabrication plan for the work, including how the applicant plans to make the work and if the applicant will sub-contract any part of the production process to a professional maker or jeweller.

• An up-to-date CV.
