Museum Members terms and conditions

1. All Members visiting our venues are subject to the Museums Victoria terms and conditions of entry.
2. Museums Member communications will be provided throughout the year either via direct mail or electronically via email or SMS.
3. Membership privileges are only available on the presentation of a valid membership card together with photographic identification and proof of entitlement to any concession benefits.
4. Your membership card is non transferable. Only the named person/s listed on your membership card may use it. Failure to present your membership card on request could result in the payment of full admission.
5. Museums Victoria Membership is non refundable.
6. Museums Victoria Memberships are an annual membership and are not available as pro-rata payments.
7. A Museums Victoria Membership cannot be suspended once activated.
8. Reproduction of a Museums Victoria membership card in any form is strictly prohibited.
9. Unauthorized or unlawful resale or attempted resale of any membership card or benefit is grounds for seizure and cancellation of the membership card without compensation.
10. Membership privileges are available only on individual or family visits and do not apply to visits such as school excursions.
11. Prices are valid as at 1 December 2017.
12. A $5.00 fee is payable for replacement cards.
13. Museums Victoria may terminate your membership if you: fail to comply with these terms & conditions; abuse any privilege afforded to you under the Membership program; or misuse your membership card or breach the conditions of entry of any Museums Victoria venue.
14. A Museums Membership will be considered 'lapsed' if not renewed by the due date.
15. In order to obtain your member parking discount you must either validate your parking ticket at the Melbourne Museum Members Entry Desk on the day of your visit or alternatively scan your bar-coded membership card at the Pay Station located within the Melbourne Museum car park.
16. Museums Victoria collects & manages your personal information in a professional & responsible manner & in accordance with the principles of privacy law. The information provided by you will only be used for Museums Victoria purposes, such as the administration of your membership, the provision of Museums Victoria goods & services, planning research & marketing of the Membership program. Museums Victoria will not disclose, sell, distribute, share or otherwise pass on your personal information to any third party. You may choose not to provide your personal details upon joining, however, if you do not provide your personal details we will not be able to administer your membership or provide you with some or all membership benefits.
17. The primary membership cardholder(s) is/are responsible for ensuring the details of their Museum Membership are correct at all times.
18. Museums Victoria reserves the right to update or change these terms & conditions of membership benefits at any time without prior notice.
19. Online promotional codes and referred membership numbers are applied at the time of membership processing.
20. The cost of general entry to the Melbourne Museum, Scienceworks or Immigration Museum can be deducted from the cost of Museum Membership provided the upgrade is processed within 7 days of your visit and proof of purchase is provided. This excludes purchases to surcharged exhibitions, IMAX Melbourne, Royal Exhibition Building events, special events, Melbourne Planetarium & Lightning Theatre.
