Patrick's Playtime

Animation

Adobe Animate, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Procreate

I created Patrick’s Playtime as a short 2D animation inspired by mini-educational children’s television episodes. The story follows a young boy (voiced by my brother) and his friend, the narrator, as they enjoy a day at the park and delight in the excitement of counting and cookies.

Monster

Music video animation

Adobe Photoshop, Premier Pro, Adobe Animate

I created Monster, an animated music teaser, for an imaginary boy band ‘Vantor’ and their upcoming music video. It brands the band with a graffiti-based colour palette of green, red and yellow, which contradicts the bland white wall in the background. As the animation progresses, the graffiti artist becomes increasingly more colourful, reflecting the band’s vibrant identity. The retro instrumental and the animation complement each other to create an early 2000s street aesthetic, creating a sense of fun and energy.

Pride

Animation

Adobe Animate, Adobe Photoshop

I created Pride, a short 2D animation skit made in Adobe Animate, that follows a close LGBTQIA+ focused friendship group. Through their light-hearted banter and everyday antics, the animation promotes awareness and highlights pride-themed merchandise. The casual conversations are designed to challenge and break down common stigmas surrounding the queer community. As the skit concludes, it offers a brief but meaningful insight into the significance of Pride Month before ending on a playful, uplifting note.

Coastal Catch

Website

Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Illustrator

My website Coastal Catch was created as a digital platform for a restaurant, designed to make ordering, booking and navigating simple and intuitive for customers. The layout is clean and visually appealing, highlighting the restaurant’s coastal theme while remaining fully functional and user-friendly. Clear menu sections and accessible booking features help streamline the customer experience. Overall, the site aims to reflect the restaurant’s identity, according to the brief, while providing an efficient and welcoming online space for all users.

PERSEVERANCE

Animation

Adobe Animate, Adobe Photoshop

My vector-art animation PERSEVERANCE follows an unnamed photographer trekking through the depths of the northern Canadian wilderness. Despite trials and tribulations in the face of Mother Nature, the character manages to reach their destination through their own endurance and will, and their perseverance. My animation takes inspiration from and combines modern, simplistic art styles alongside painterly impressionist styles.

MSEP - Mars Space Exploration Program

Adobe Animate, Adobe Premiere Pro

MSEP – Mars Space Exploration Program – is an animated advertisement created in Adobe Animate and Premiere Pro. It promotes a program that sends the first human colony to Mars, targeting people on Earth who are bored with everyday life, and in search of something greater. The advertisement appeals to themes of adventure and hope. As viewers are guided through the Mars facility, the advertisement uses bright colour palettes, gradients, long takes, minimal cuts and grand atmospheric sounds, to enhance the space theme.
