VCE Media students examine the media, how stories are constructed and distributed and how audiences consume media products.
Students investigate production processes in a range of media forms. Based on their research and investigation, they design, develop and produce their own production. Media students’ work includes animation, video, film, television, print layout, audio, photography, digital and hybridised media.
To design and create their final production, students research the characteristics, narratives, styles and genres of a range of media forms. They construct the narrative and final product to engage a specified target audience. The productions on display demonstrate strong conceptualisation and a high degree of technical skill.
