Learn more about how Country and Community are interconnected within Our Wonderous Planet. Create your own mobile and discover some different plants and animals that make up Country.
Country is all around us, the earth (soil), waterways, plants, animals, sky, and Community all encompass Country.
We all play an important role in ensuring Country is happy and healthy, which is why it is important to know what plants and animals exist in the Country around you. Here in Naarm (Melbourne) we have important plants and animals we coexist with, such as wombats, wattle trees, lyrebirds, fern trees, and butterflies.
Colour and create your own mobile with plants and animals from across this Country to learn how we are all interconnected.
To learn more about how we are all interconnected and the role we must all play in caring for Country, check out Melbourne Museum’s newest permanent exhibition, Our Wondrous Planet.
