My primary role is as collection manager for the state's invertebrate fossil collections, which covers fossils from across the past billion years, and includes ammonites, trilobites, sea lillies, lace corals and more.
My research interest is in marine Bryozoa, a group of colonial animals. My main focus is on fossils of Mesozoic and Cenozoic Eras. I am particularly interested in their evolutionary relationships and what they tell us about past environments and biogeography. I also promote the importance of taxonomic understanding in ecology, biogeography and management.
