Do you know what happens to your plastic bottle when you recycle it?

Embark on the recycling journey of a plastic bottle in a new free interactive installation at Scienceworks.

‘Message in a Bottle’ provides the opportunity for children and their families to explore how plastic bottles are broken down in the recycling process, allowing precious resources to be reused.

The display developed by Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme (CDSVic) features messages from Primary school students from across Victoria about why recycling is important to them while educating children about the circular economy.

During your visit, you can also use a reverse vending machine on site at Scienceworks to return your eligible drink containers through the container deposit scheme and receive a 10c refund.
