Discover our natural world and uncover the secret life of the creatures around us and their ecosystems in our Bite-Sized Science sessions!
In this sessions, you will hear about Bogong Moths.
Australia’s Bogong Moth is an amazing species that undertakes a mass migration from the inland plains of Australia to the caves and rock crevices of the Australian Alps to aestivate during summer. Hear about how it makes this journey and the important role it plays in First Peoples culture and in the environment.
These sessions are for family audiences, with children aged 6–12. Bite-Sized Science sessions include a 10–15 minute presentation followed by a question and answer (Q&A). They are drop-in with no booking required and are free with museum entry.
