Unleash your creativity in Melbourne Museum's Digital Art Class! Each month offers a fresh theme, from ancient fossils and dazzling minerals to delicate feathers, vibrant insects, and even fashion inspired by the museum’s extraordinary collection.
This month we will be drawing inspiration from Museum Victoria’s shell collection. This collection offers a stunning array of shapes, colours, and textures, perfect for artists and nature lovers alike.
In the museum’s Digital Art Class, held monthly in the innovative Learning Lab, participants can explore this collection through digital drawing on iPad Pros. These sessions welcome all skill levels and provide a guided experience to creatively capture the unique details of each shell, from their delicate spirals to intricate surface textures. This immersive class invites attendees to use the natural beauty of shells as inspiration while learning new digital techniques, making it an enriching blend of art, science, and technology.
