Join one of our free Auslan tours for an overview of some of the museum's displays.
An experienced Auslan Museum Educator will take you around select galleries and point out some of the highlights you might like to revisit. On the way, you'll learn stories about our objects, the history of Victoria and the history of the museum itself.
Highlights
- Come face to face with one of the most awe-inspiring creatures ever to walk the Earth – the Triceratops.
- See icons such as Phar Lap up at The Melbourne Story exhibition.
- Walk amongst the skeletons of 10 prehistoric animals at the Dinosaur Walk.
Tours run for approximately one hour on particular dates, depending on demand and whether Auslan tour guide staff are available.
Auslan is the sign language of the Australian Deaf community. The term Auslan is an acronym of Australian Sign Language.
This event is tailored for Auslan users including children from 7 years old and adults. Auslan tours are led by tour guides who are Deaf. No English interpretation is provided.
