Music Industry
(Sound Production)
VCE VET Music Industry (Sound Production) allows students to work with contemporary industry technologies. Students learn to reinforce sound in live situations and to record, edit, mix and enhance sound, within a recording studio context. Students also complete industry-specific units focused on the application of style and genre, effective work practices, health and safety and copyright.

Willow
GarageBand, Pro Tools
Willow is an eerie groove-based tune which, through its lyrical composition and use of various recording/mixing techniques, explores themes including the true dangers of society. The lyrics metaphorically provide insight into a psychopathically twisted and uncontrollable mind, with an underlying message that you can never really know what people are capable of.

Freak Fandango
Pro Tools Ultimate
My sound production of an indie funk rock band, Freak Fandango, is a recording of a live performance in a small studio environment. The recording was later imported onto Pro Tools for the mixing process. Outboard gears were used, making the sound of the recording more colourful and presentable.
