Melbourne Museum brings back a spooky spectacle for Halloween
Choose between a family-friendly Halloween adventure or eerie adult thrills at Melbourne’s premier cultural destination.
After a hugely successful inaugural event last year, Halloween returns to Melbourne Museum once again, where the supernatural meets the scientific in a celebration like no other. On October 31st, Melbourne Museum transforms into the ultimate Halloween destination for all ages, with an exciting, family-friendly atmosphere, and spine-chilling thrills for adults. Whether you're trick-or-treating with the kids or raising a glass at the spirits bar, Melbourne Museum will be the go-to spot for your Halloween celebrations.
‘Halloween at Melbourne Museum is all about offering a unique mix of family-friendly fun earlier in the evening, before our late night grown-up focused programming. We’re blending our scientific expertise with the excitement of Halloween to create a one-of-a-kind celebration’, said Lynley Crosswell, Museums Victoria director & CEO.
Families can enjoy a range of frightfully fun activities including trick-or-treating, face painting, science shows, collectable skeleton cards and a scavenger hunt. For the more adventurous, adults can immerse themselves in ghostly tales, and a haunted history experience. A special grown-ups-only zone will open from 8pm, with eerie surprises awaiting those brave enough to venture in.
For those wanting an extra dash of excitement, a Full Moon package offers fast-track entry, exclusive LEGO® Star Wars-themed experiences, and specially curated Halloween show bags filled with startling surprises and museum-themed goodies. VIPs will also have access to the exclusive Halloween Full Moon Experience, an immersive event that promises thrills, chills and a chance to skip the queues.
