Air Playground Takes Flight
Museums Victoria’s Air Playground Exhibition Tours Hamilton, New Zealand
Museums Victoria’s hugely successful Air Playground exhibition has today opened in Hamilton, New Zealand at Te Whare Taonga o Waikato Museum and Gallery.
Hamilton is the first city of an international tour to host Air Playground, which explores the invisible but powerful world of air. Originally presented at Scienceworks in Melbourne, Australia, the exhibition was designed for families with children of all ages, offering visitors a unique opportunity to explore and interact with the marvels of one of Earth’s most amazing realms.
Reflecting on its success at Scienceworks, Lynley Crosswell, Museums Victoria CEO & Director said: 'Families love Air Playground’s colourful, immersive blend of entertainment and education. As with all Scienceworks exhibitions, we hope it builds critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills through hands-on activities that integrate science, technology, engineering and mathematics with creativity.'
'We’re delighted to be working with Te Whare Taonga o Waikato Museum & Gallery to bring this incredibly popular exhibition to New Zealand audiences and beyond.'
Air Playground is not only a celebration of the wonders of the atmosphere but a fun-filled day out for families to explore and learn through play.
