Adult presentations

Face-to-face bookings for 2023 are currently on hold.  In the meantime, please consider our brand-new virtual program Armchair travel to the Museum or enjoy our online reminiscing kits.

Our travelling ‘museum in a van’ program delivers museum object-based sessions for adult groups who may find it difficult to visit one of our venues.

Museums Victoria's Outreach Program is a mobile service that provides access to the museum's collections for people who may find it difficult to visit one of our venues for reasons that include age, geographic distance, hospitalisation and imprisonment.

These sessions are led by a skilled presenter. Each presentation includes a selection of specimens, objects, replicas and photographs, and most of the items presented can be handled. Each session is between 45 minutes and one hour in duration and it is a condition of booking that at least one support staff member from the centre attends the presentation.
