STEM Curious: Hands on experiences for early years educators
This 2-hour introductory program introduces STEM as a valuable tool in early childhood environments, providing a range of hands-on activities for participants to take back to their service as they implement the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.

Upcoming face-to-face sessions*
Face-to-face sessions are available for educators and teachers working at funded services located within Brimbank City Council or the City of Greater Dandenong Local Government Areas (LGAs). Participants who attend a workshop at Melbourne Museum or Scienceworks are also free to tour our award-winning exhibitions, Ground Up: Building Big Ideas Together (at Scienceworks) or The Pauline Gandel Children’s Gallery (at Melbourne Museum), afterwards.

Eligibility
We are thrilled to offer STEM Curious as a free program in partnership with the Department of Education (Victoria) for educators and teachers working with children at services that receive funding for a kindergarten program, i.e. have the purple ‘kinder tick’. Including room leaders, educators, ECTs, Educational leaders (or a combination of the above), if you fulfil the above criteria, you are eligible to attend this workshop.

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) is a powerful way for children to build learning dispositions such as persistence, resilience, problem solving, creativity, collaboration and communication. Aligned with the VEYLDF, STEM Curious includes the latest information about how to incorporate STEM within early childhood environments, providing practical ideas you can easily implement within your service.
