Museums Victoria Member November 2024 Competition – Terms and Conditions

1. The competition will be run during the following period (“Competition Period”):

1. The competition opens: 1 November 2024 at 12:00AM AEST.
2. The competition closes: 30 November 2024 at 11:59PM AEST.

2. The competition is open to anyone who has purchased, activated or renewed a Museum Membership (including gift membership) during the Competition Period.

3. Entry is not open to Museums Victoria employees, contractors or volunteers, or people in their immediate families.

4. To be eligible to win a prize, during the Competition Period, each participant must either:

1. Purchase and activate a Museum Membership;
2. Renew their Museum Membership; or
3. Purchase a Gift Museum Membership

5. Multiple entries per participant will not be accepted.

6. The competition draw will be conducted on 3 December 2024 and the winner notified thereafter.

7. There will be 1x prize draw for each of – 1st Prize, 2nd Prize and 3rd Prize.

8. The 1st Prize consists of – 1x private documentary film screening at IMAX Melbourne for 20 people (valued at $5000). The screening includes the following additions, and is subject to the following conditions:

Additions:
1-hour pre-screening access to the IMAX Melbourne private lounge, with a drink on arrival and cinema snacks for all attendees.
1x IMAX Big League 12-Month Membership for each attendee.

13. The Story of Earth 3D

14. Volcanoes 3D

15. Blue Whales 3D (available from April-onwards)

16. Secrets of the Sea 3D

17. The screening must be booked for a date between 1 January–31 December 2025.

18. The date of the screening is subject to availability and must be pre-booked with the IMAX Melbourne team.

19. The above Additions are at the reasonable discretion of IMAX Melbourne staff.

9. The 2nd Prize consists of – 5x premium tickets to any IMAX film session, plus free popcorn for each ticket redeemed (valued at $370). Films available to book are as listed on the IMAX Melbourne website. The tickets are valid until 31 December 2025.

10. The 3rd Prize consists of – 1x $200 IMAX Melbourne voucher. The voucher is subject to the IMAX Terms & Conditions.

11. The prizes are not transferable, nor can they be redeemed for cash.

12. There will be 3 prize winners. A prize can only be redeemed once per Membership.

13. The winners of the prizes will be drawn randomly from the valid entries.

14. The winners will be notified via email of their prize at the email address provided with their competition entry.

15. The winners’ names will be published on Museums Victoria’s website on 3 December 2024.

16. If Museums Victoria, after using all reasonable efforts, cannot contact a winner within seven (7) days of the prize draw, then the winner will be substituted via a second draw.

17. Each participant must provide their first name, last name and email address. This information will only be used to conduct the prize draw and notify and publish the winners. Museums Victoria will retain records relating to the competition for a period of three (3) years after the finalisation of the competition.

18. Museums Victoria is not liable for any late, lost, delayed or misdirected entries.

19. Museums Victoria reserves the right to verify the identity of the winners to confirm they are the winner.

20. Museums Victoria reserves the right to disqualify entries at its sole, reasonable discretion.

21. Decisions of Museums Victoria regarding the winning of prizes are final and binding.

22. In the event that the prize becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond Museums Victoria’s reasonable control, Museums Victoria reserves the right to provide a similar product to the same or greater value as the original prize.

23. Museums Victoria will not disclose any personal information provided by participants to any third party, except as provided for under these terms and conditions, or as otherwise required or permitted by law.
