Teacher professional learning in Bendigo

This one-day professional learning workshop is designed for Design & Technologies teachers wanting to strengthen their understanding of future-focused and regenerative design, and how to teach these concepts through authentic, place-based learning.

Delivered by DATTA Victoria and Museums Victoria, Creative Futures uses Bendigo’s landscape, industries and communities to explore real-world design challenges. Teachers will work collaboratively to co-design curriculum-aligned units of work and contribute to a new teaching resource to be released free to all Victorian schools.

From Extractive to Regenerative

Through hands-on activities and collaborative design, teachers will explore the shift from extractive product systems to regenerative and circular design practices, and consider how Design & Technologies education can prepare students to respond to environmental, social and economic challenges.

  • Place-based and inquiry-led design challenges
  • How Museums Victoria collections and services support classroom teaching
