Clothing is familiar to all of us. Memories of boiling the copper on wash day, wearing starched collars and hand-me-downs will stimulate plenty of discussion.
'Stitches through time' is based around the topics of clothing, fashion, and its impact on our lives. It looks at the past through a recording of the fashions, the advertising and the factors affecting one's dress.
Some people will be familiar with most or all of the items in this kit. They may remember specifics such as clothing worn on special occasions, the washing methods used or the never-ending sewing and darning.
This kit is specifically designed for activity coordinators to use in reminiscing sessions. It is suitable for aged care groups only.
