Introduction

The Mary Featherston’s Children’s Museum archive (1982–97) provides a broad picture of Melbourne’s first Children’s Museum: a groundbreaking space dedicated to interactive information-based exhibitions that was located within the Museum of Victoria, then in Swanston Street, from 1985 to 1997.
