Terms and Conditions
1. The competition opens on 28 January 2025.
2. The competition closes on 2 February 2025.
3. The competition is open to anyone who has completed the Museums Victoria Lunar New Year: Zodiac Quest.
4. Entry is not open to Museums Victoria employees, contractors or volunteers, or people in their immediate family.
5. Multiple entries per participant will not be accepted.
6. To be eligible to win a prize, each participant must:
- Be aged 18 years or older; and
- Successfully complete the Museums Victoria Lunar New Year: Zodiac Quest and make the entry in accordance with an online form provided by Museums Victoria via QR code.
7. There will be one prize draw. The prize consists of return Air China economy airfares for two people from Melbourne to a chosen destination of either Beijing, London, Paris, Rome or Frankfurt with transit through Beijing (to the value of $6,000 AUD). The Prize is not transferable, nor can it be redeemed for cash.
8. There will be one prize winner.
9. The competition draw will be conducted by 9 February 2025 and the winner notified thereafter.
10. The prize winner will be drawn randomly from the valid entries.
11. The prize winner will be notified via email of their prize at the email address provided with their competition entry.
12. The prize winner’s name will be published on the Museums Victoria website by 9 February 2025. A prize not claimed within 30 days of email notification will be deemed void.
13. Each participant must provide their first name, last name and email address. This information will only be used to conduct the prize draw and notify and publish the winner. Museums Victori will retain records relating to the competition for a period of three years after the finalisation of the competition.
14. Museums Victoria is not liable for any late, lost, delayed or misdirected entries.
15. Museums Victoria reserves the right to verify the identity of the participant to confirm they are the winner.
16. Museums Victoria reserves the right to disqualify entries at its sole, reasonable discretion.
17. Decisions of Museums Victoria regarding the winning of prizes are final and binding.
18. In the event that the prize becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond Museums Victoria’s reasonable control, Museums Victoria reserves the right to provide a similar product to the same or greater value as the original prize.
19. Museums Victoria will not disclose any personal information provided by the participants to any third party, except as provided for under these terms and conditions or as otherwise permitted by law. Specific terms – competition prize
20. Once the prize winner is notified, Museums Victoria in conjunction with China Air will contact them to arrange for the prize (air tickets) to be issued and departure and return booked with Air China.
21. The Prize winner is required to arrange the booking of their air tickets by 30 June 2025.
22. The prize must be used for a return trip (departure and return flight) within a three month period.
23. Air tickets may not:
- be booked for the period 4 April 2025 to 20 April 2025;
- be booked on Chair China “code-share” services;
- be booked for a person under 18 years of age unless the other ticket is booked for a supervising parent or guardian.
24. Once the prize is booked, the departure and return dates may not be changed, exchanged or refunded.
25. The prize does not include travel insurance, taxes and fuel surcharges, transfers to and from departure ports or any other ancillary cost. The winner is solely responsible for arrangement of visa to enter or transit in Beijing, China.
