Museums Victoria’s Inclusion Program

In 2022, The Scanlon Foundation began a four-year journey with Museums Victoria to advance participation, cultural diversity and belonging across our workforce and museums. So that we can be a museum where everyone feels welcome. Where everyone can belong. From community partnerships to enhance participation to museum jobs programs and diversifying audience experiences, explore the initiatives of our Inclusion Program below.

Acknowledgement

Museums Victoria acknowledges the Woi Wurrung (Wurundjeri) and Boonwurrung peoples of the eastern Kulin Nations where we work, and First Peoples language groups and communities across Victoria and Australia.

Our organisation, in partnership with the First Peoples of Victoria, is working to place First Peoples living cultures and histories at the core of our practice.

The Inclusion Program was made possible by the leadership generously given to us by Justice Nelson and Uncle Robbie Bundle and the deeply supportive impact they had upon artists, members and staff. We express to them our deepest gratitude.
