The collection is an invaluable record of Victoria's environmental and cultural history, and our amazing wealth of over 15 million items has been creating a sense of wonder and awe in visitors for generations.
Governed by the Museums Board of Victoria, and under the leadership of Lynley Crosswell, Museums Victoria is operated and supported by talented staff and volunteers.

This scheme provides legal protection for cultural objects on loan from overseas lenders for temporary public exhibition in Australia.
