This National Science Week join us to hear award-winning author, Mark Greenwood, read his new book, Lucky’s Star.

Lucky’s Star explores the fascinating true story of the meteorite that landed in Murchison, Victoria in 1969. The pieces of space rock that were discovered provided clues about the origins of life on Earth. You’ll also be able to see pieces of the Murchison meteorite on display at Melbourne Museum.

Illustration of a girl and a dog. The girl is wearing yellow gumboots, she is squatting and holding a rock that appears to be radiating waves. The dog, with red shaggy hair, is panting.

Lucky’s Star is recommended for ages 5 to 9 and Teacher Notes are available for download from CSIRO Publishing.

This is a free event, in partnership with CSIRO, to celebrate National Science Week.
