Ants and children in the museum – what could possibly unfold?
Ants is an interactive, roving performance where giant ants invite children into a unique and playful landscaping adventure.
With hundreds of giant breadcrumbs scattered around and three large, curious insects on the scene, children are irresistibly drawn into the mystery of what the Ants want.
As they collaborate, a captivating world emerges, with shifting lines and patterns taking shape. It’s an experience that beautifully reflects the human urge for order, transforming everyday spaces into mesmerising landscapes.
This enchanting performance explores the nature of work and how children engage with their surroundings.
Kick off each day with a free performance on the Museum Plaza before further performances take place inside Melbourne Museum.
This season of Ants is supported by the City of Melbourne. Polyglot Theatre is assisted by the Australian Government through Creative Australia, its principal arts funding and advisory body, and the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria.
