Bedroom Table

Victorian Ash and Jarrah

This piece is my bedroom table, which was constructed during remote learning. It has a custom-designed top, which has the effect of sunrays moving across the piece. As I love the sun coming up each day, I included a sunray effect in the piece as a symbol of new hope for every day. This was particularly appropriate during the remote learning and lockdown, when I was unable to see my friends or teacher. I used a variety of furnishing joints and two different types of Australian timber - Victorian Ash and Jarrah. It is an aesthetically pleasing piece, which now takes pride of place in my family home.
