Criterion 1

Investigation of a problem/situation/opportunity/need and develop a design brief for an integrated controlled system including evaluation criteria

This folio page provides the design problem, design brief and client profile for the project. This folio page provides the design brief, to design a system that will safely and autonomously transport high risk products in a petroleum plant. The design brief response, giving an explanation of the automated transportation system prototype to be designed.

Criterion 2

Researching, devising, designing and modelling design options

Criterion 4

Use of tools, equipment and machines to make the system

Photos and descriptions show the process of cutting wood panels with a jigsaw blade and drilling tracks onto the frame. This folio page explains the construction of the system’s dog door, providing dimensions and showing tracks and screwheads.

Realisation of an integrated controlled system
