Unit 3, Outcome 3: Designing for others – Documenting the product design process

Criteria 1

Skill in developing an end user/s’ profile, research, a design brief and evaluation criteria with reference to the product design factors

Skill in conducting research and communicating developmental work

Skill in developing creative and innovative design options, and ability to gain end user/s feedback and justify preferred option

This folio page gives a justification of the preferred design option, based on rankings from the end-user. The final design has incorporated elements from two different design options that were favoured. Visualisations of the final design accompany the text.

This folio page shows the care labels developed for the folding chairs and storage unit. The labels inform the end-user how to maintain the quality of the products, and include links to online demonstration videos.
