A message from Melbourne Museum

Innovative responses to our fast-evolving, ever-changing world all begin with a moment of inspired design.

At a ​time when this feels ​more pertinent than ever, I am delighted that Melbourne Museum is presenting Top Designs 2020, featuring inspiring projects by Victoria’s most talented young designers. This year we celebrate 20 years of presenting Top Designs in partnership with the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority’s (VCAA) VCE Season of Excellence. Over two decades more than one thousand exceptionally talented secondary students from across the state have been featured in this showcase of design excellence.

While Melbourne Museum’s doors are temporarily closed we are presenting Top Designs 2020 digitally as part of our Museum at Home project.

As always, this year’s exhibition is a remarkable display of ingenuity, artistry and innovation that is certain to spark the imaginations of all, in particular those students who are currently enrolled in VCE and VCE VET programs.
