MAJOR PRIZE: Melbourne Central Joy Activation Competition T&CS
- The competition opens on Monday 22 July 2024 at 10AM AEST.
- The competition ends on Sunday 1 September 2024 at 5PM AEST.
- The competition is open to anyone who has successfully registered and participated in the Joy Activation at Melbourne Central between Monday 22 July 2024 and Sunday 28 July 2024.
- Entry is open to all persons except Museums Victoria employees, contractors or volunteers, or people in their immediate families.
- To be eligible to win the prize, each participant must:
- present a valid origami piece OR ‘second chance’ token OR ‘free ticket’ token from the Joy Activation at Melbourne Central to a Museums Victoria staff member at the Immigration Museum; and
- successfully complete the competition entry form and sign up to the Museums Victoria e-news mailing list.
- Participants who present a valid origami piece from the Joy Activation at Melbourne Central to a Museums Victoria staff member at the Immigration Museum during the competition period will also receive two (2) complimentary tickets to the Immigration Museum. Tickets are only valid on the day which they are received. Limit of one (1) complimentary entry per person during the competition period.
- Multiple entries per participant will not be accepted.
- The competition draw will be conducted on Tuesday 3 September 2024 and the winner notified thereafter.
- There will be one (1) prize draw. The prize consists of one (1) x $500 Melbourne Central gift voucher, and one (1) x 12-month Museums Victoria Household Membership (or for existing members, a Household Membership renewal), to the value of $599.00. The gift voucher is subject to additional terms and conditions. The Membership is subject to Museum Members Terms and Conditions. The prize is not transferable, nor can it be redeemed for cash.
- There will be one (1) prize winner.
- The winner of the prize will be drawn randomly from the valid entries.
- The winner will be notified via email of their prize at the email address provided with their competition entry.
- The winner’s name will be published on Museums Victoria’s website on Tuesday 3 September 2024.
- If Museums Victoria, after using all reasonable efforts, cannot contact the winner within 28 days of email notification, then the winner will be substituted via a second draw from the remaining valid entries.
- Each participant must provide their first name, last name and email address. This information will only be used to conduct the prize draw and notify and publish the winner. Museums Victoria will retain records relating to the competition for a period of three (3) years after the finalisation of the competition.
- Museums Victoria is not liable for any late, lost, delayed or misdirected entries.
- Museums Victoria reserves the right to verify the identity of a participant to confirm they are the winner.
- Museums Victoria reserves the right to disqualify entries at its sole, reasonable discretion.
- Decisions of Museums Victoria regarding the winning of prizes are final and binding.
- In the event that the prize becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond Museums Victoria’s reasonable control, Museums Victoria reserves the right to provide a similar product to the same or greater value as the original prize.
