Katherine Bennell-Pegg will be touching down at Scienceworks to kick off National Science Week! Join us first thing to hear her interview, watch her launch a rocket, and then get an autograph from Australia’s first astronaut.

From her beginnings in Sydney, Katherine Bennell-Pegg has long had her eyes set on space. In 2024 she became the first astronaut to be trained under the Australian flag, which is quite an achievement!

Katherine will be at Scienceworks to share her love of space and science with visitors.

During her visit you can

  • Listen to a live interview in the amphitheatre and maybe ask some questions
  • Watch her launch a rocket to start our Blast Off amphitheatre show
  • Line up for an opportunity for an autograph or photo op!
