Baby Sensory FAQ

What happens if I book a ticket but then can’t attend the session?

We understand that life with a little one can be a bit unpredictable. If you can’t attend the session for any reason, or are running late, we ask that you contact our Bookings Team on 13 11 02. We are unlikely to be able to accommodate changes on the day.

What time do I need to arrive? What if I’m running late?

Please arrive at Scienceworks at least 20 minutes before the session, and be at the session venue at least 5 minutes before the start time. If you’re running late, please contact the Bookings Team on 13 11 02.

Can I bring two children into the session?

No, each child needs one accompanying adult to properly participate in the session, as they are activities for a child and adult to do together. If you have two children and would like to participate, please book two tickets and ensure that there are two adults accompanying the children.

All children must fall within the age range for Baby Sensory sessions.

Who do I pay for?

You’ll need to get a ticket for the adult and for the child attending the session. It’s $5 per child, and included with entry for the accompanying adult. There should be one adult per child.

I have one baby and one toddler. Can my toddler come with me into the Baby Sensory session?

Unfortunately, we do ask that you don’t bring your toddler into the Baby Sensory sessions. These sessions have been specifically designed for babies and their adults.

How strict are the age ranges?

Baby Sensory sessions are for ages 0–13 months. The sessions have been specifically designed to cater to the developmental needs of your baby, and little ones outside that age range will have different needs, so we ask that you keep to the advised range.

Can I get a ticket for these sessions on the day?

These sessions do frequently book out in advance, so we recommend booking before the day. If there are tickets available on the day, you’ll be able to purchase them at the admissions desk.

What happens if I miss my session?

These sessions do sell out frequently, so unfortunately if you do miss your session we can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to fit you into another session. If you know you won’t be able to make it, please contact the Bookings Team on 13 11 02.

What do you do with our contact details?

We pass on your name and email address to Baby Sensory. They may use it to get in touch after the session, or to contact you about future sessions. This is the same as if you booked a session with them directly through their website.

What’s the difference between Baby Sensory and Toddler Sense?

Baby Sensory sessions are for 0–13 months, and Toddler Sense is for 14 months – 4 years. These sessions are specifically designed for the developmental needs of those different age groups.

Can I bring my baby into a Toddler Sense session?

Yes you can, with the understanding that you will be participating in the session with your toddler.
