Melbourne Planetarium has been producing original shows for over 20 years, developing the latest in animations, science visualisations, musical scores and sound design.
Our shows are well known for creative mix of strong science content and inventive storytelling, utilising the best of narrative and non-fiction modes. Melbourne Planetarium shows are multiaward winning, including the 2007 Domefest Award for Best Sound and Visual Narrative, and the 2015 Director’s Award at the Jena Fulldome Festival.

Our shows are distributed throughout the world. Established in 1965, Melbourne Planetarium is Australia’s oldest planetarium. Located at Museum Victoria’s Scienceworks, it attracts over 130,000 visitors per year.
