Our Higher Degree Research program welcomes applications from Honours, Masters and PhD research students for projects with direct links to the Museum’s Collections.
1854 Scholarships were established in 2004 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the museum.
Scholarship opportunities and seed funding are available to Higher Degree Research students.
In this four-month program for tertiary students, you’ll get the opportunity to learn from science communication experts and apply your skills with visitors at Scienceworks.
We receive a very high number of requests from secondary students hoping to complete work experience placements at our Museums. We appreciate the interest and would love to accommodate these requests, however we do not currently have a work experience program in place and no placement opportunities are available.
